yes that’s you!
‘Dangerous Melbourne’ is an arts project that seeks to expose and examine the climate of fear in Melbourne today and put into perspective the everyday risks we all take. The culmination of the project was a community slide show that was presented over two weeks as part of the Next Wave Festival in May 2010
127 concerned citizens attended the seminar series overĀ four nights. 85 orders were taken for the ‘Ultimate Safety Device’. 94 cups of tea were serves and a total of 17 packets of biscuits were consumed. 216 slides were taken, 450 fridge magnets were printed and four young women were interviewed. The 24 hour Dangerous Melbourne Hotline received 205 calls and this blog had 545 visits during May 2010.

Informed is better than deformed.A safer you is a safer me. Accidents hurt — safety doesn’t. At work at play, let safety lead the way. At work, at home, let safety be known.Don’t let safety take a holiday Avoid the worst. Put safety first. Better late in this world than early to the next. Be a leader, follow safe procedures. Be alert–accidents hurt. Be alert, be aware, be alive. Get smart! Use safety from the start. Don’t learn safety by accident.
